Former TOWIE star Jess Wright, 36, recently revealed she had decided to freeze her eggs just in case after her mum Carol and late Nanny Pat both went through early menopause
Jess Wright has revealed she “definitely” wants kids and is ready to start trying for a baby.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star tied the knot with businessman William Lee-Kemp in a lavish ceremony in Majorca in September.
Although the 36-year-old says she feels “no pressure” to have children soon, she is already putting plans in motion to start a family further with William down the line.
Speaking to Heat magazine, Jess said: “Yeah I mean, there is that kind of feeling now the wedding is done and it’s time to start trying for a child.
“So we’ll see what happens. No one is putting any pressure on me, but we’re definitely hoping to have kids at some point.”
Jess recently said she had decided to freeze her eggs after mum Carol Wright started early menopause at 41, as did her late Nanny Pat.
Mark Wright’s sister insists she hasn’t hit the menopause yet, which causes women’s periods to stop leaving them unable to fall pregnant. The most common age for this to happen to women in the UK is around 51.
But at one stage Jess did start to panic it was happening to her as she kept waking up in hot sweats during the night.
“I knew it was a symptom so I was really, really panicking myself and spiralling into this ditch of ‘I’m going through menopause, or I’m going to start’.
“And then I was worrying if we’re going to be able to have children,” she told Grazia.
Singer Jess has documented her egg freezing journey and her Spanish wedding in her upcoming reality spin-off show, Jess Wright: The Wedding, which will air for the first time on ITVBe tonight.
As well as showing the “fairy tale” wedding ceremony, Jess says she also wanted to show the real stuff that is impacting her and William’s relationship.
She admits she was “embarrassed” to tell her husband about her fears of early menopause.
“It’s not exactly the most sexy thing to say, but at the same time, William is so supportive,” the TV star shared.
Jess rose to fame alongside younger brother Mark on reality show, The Only Way Is Essex.
She appeared on the show as a regular character from when the show first aired in 2010 to 2016.
Since then she has made her own music, released clothing lines and a fitness plan, and appeared in other reality shows such as Celebrity First Dates and Celebrity Karaoke Club.
Although she would never go back to TOWIE, Jess has revealed she would do Strictly and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. So could she be part of the new jungle line up?
