Strictly: Judi and Graziano talk about being in the bottom two

Judi Love will not star on Saturday’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing.

The comedian has been forced to step back from training and performing after testing positive for coronavirus.

A Strictly spokesperson said: “Judi Love has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

“While Judi and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”

Judi is the second celebrity on the 2021 series that has had to take time away from the show after catching the bug.

McFly musician Tom Fletcher was the first famous face who was forced to skip a live performance due to having Covid-19.

He and partner Amy Dowden returned to the dance floor the following week after an isolation stint.

Judi has been in the dance-off two weeks in a row and bookies were predicting that she’d be booted off the series this week before it was announced that she would not be taking part.

Judi’s fans were not happy to see her in the bottom two last week.

One wrote: “Oh do me a favour. Judi again??! So not deserved #Strictly.”

Another said: “Excuse me Judi in the dance off what is happening here #Strictly.”

Others seemed baffled as to how BBC’s Dan Walker had managed to escape a dance off yet again. One viewer asked: “Who the hell is voting for Dan? #Strictly.”

Someone else added: “How has Dan Walker escaped every single dance off so far #strictly.”

Strictly Come Dancing is only on week four and already it’s been an eventful series.

The dancing duo will return next week

Actress Nadia Wadia, famous for appearing in EastEnders and Goodness Gracious Me, was the first celebrity to leave the show with partner Neil Jones.

Former Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead Tinker, left next with partner Gorka Marquez.

Actor and comic Robert Webb was later forced to pull out for health reasons after having an emergency consultation with his doctor.

The 49-year-old funnyman, who is best known for Peep Show with his comedy partner David Mitchell, underwent surgery two years ago after a heart murmur was detected.

In a statement he said: “Although I believed I was fit enough to take on Strictly and its demanding schedule, it became clear that I had bitten off way more than I could chew for this stage in my recovery.”

There has also been drama for Giovanni, who recently split from girlfriend Maura Higgins because he reportedly didn’t want to settle down, leaving the Love Island star “devastated”.

But the biggest Strictly scandal this year so far has been the ‘near kiss’ between Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and his dance partner Kayta Jones.

The pair got close during their Tango and fans speculated the sports star leaned in to give her a smooch at the end of the dance.

They later spoke out to set the record straight, with Katya saying: “The judges kept saying we’re not connecting the emotion to the dance.”

She added the choreographers urged the pair to “keep the intensity throughout the entire dance and at the end”.
