Proud mum Stacey Solomon delighted fans as she shared an adorable video of her baby daughter Rose trying to smile.

The sweet clip shows the Loose Women presenter cooing over the newborn, who is lying on a blanket in a pink baby-grow and looking straight up at her.

Stacey, who is delighted by the end of the clip as Rose eventually reveals her gummy smile, captioned the clip: “This morning Rose was trying so hard to smile and my heart couldn’t take it (tried to drown my voice out with music but it was impossible)”

The presenter also posted another snap of her and Rose in matching blue outfits and wrote about the tot: “She’s been a little unsettled the last couple of days so I’ve been convincing myself it’s because she’s learning to smile.

“So at the end of the day this little crazy leap will become the best reward ever.”

She then added: “And now we are going to do our school run. I look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards, but I’m dressed so it’s a win, Id say.”

On Monday, Rose’s dad Joe Swash poked fun at Stacey, who is his wife-to-be, by uploading a video of the 32-year-old falling asleep while sat up in a chair.

Stacey has revealed that taking Rose to her own room for the first time recently was an emotional experience



The former EastEnders star can be heard saying: “Oh, mummy’s had a long day. Who falls asleep like that anyway? What do I do, let her sleep like that or wake her up? If I let her sleep like that and she wakes up with a bad neck I will not hear that last of it.”

He also said in the caption on the post: “If I don’t wake her up she will kill me for letting her get a bad neck”

The mum-of-four took it all in good humour as she later shared the post on her own Story and commented: “This just about sums up my day today.”

As she posed for a snap with the baby in the pink bedroom she captioned the image: “I left the bedroom for a few hours today. It was sunny and Rose was wide awake and settled so I thought I’d show her her room.

“I didn’t realise how much it would make my tummy flutter.







Stacey and Joe welcomed Rose, their second child together on Stacey’s 32nd birthday in October.



“It feels like yesterday I finished decorating it and I was cuddling her in my tummy dreaming about her being in here and now she is…Rose I thought about this moment so many times… It was even more special than I could have imagined.

“I can’t wait to watch you grow up in here and as you grow I hope you love your room as much as I loved every second of making it. P.S I hope you look at me like this forever.”

Stacey and Joe welcomed Rose, their second child together and first daughter, on Stacey’s 32nd birthday in October.

Their first child Rex was born in 2019.

Stacey also has sons Zachary, 13, and Leighton, 9, from previous relationships and Joe had his son Harry, 14, with an ex.
