Piers Morgan flees London and returns to his massive country house with pool

Piers Morgan has at long last been reunited with his beloved Los Angeles home swimming pool – which he complained about missing during lockdown.

The 56-year-old television host had been distressed during lockdown last year that he was unable to visit his portfolio of homes across the world when he was confined to one of his UK homes.

And he was particularly distraught not to be able to visit his house in LA so he could go for a swim in his personal pool.

But now the long wait of being reunited with his property is over, as the star has managed to visit California – despite UK citizens still being banned from entry to the USA until next month.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Piers shared a snap of his luxury home pool, writing: “LA life,” alongside a palm tree, sun, shoes wearing face, and ‘OK’ hand sign emoji.

The lighting of the photo made the colour of the pool look green – with some followers responding to Piers’ photo to suggest he needed to clean the water.

One replied: “So funny Piers! Due to whatever Camera effect you have , everybody is commenting that it looks more like a Pond than a Pool !!!!! Not what you had in mind to convey. Ooops!”

The TV star himself replied, writing: “it’s making me chuckle.”

Piers previously complained to Susanna Reid about missing his swimming pools

Last year, Piers whinged on Good Morning Britain, during lockdown: “I’ve been in London now since March 14th. I have never been in one place, I don’t think in my adult life as long as I’ve been in London.”

Then co-host Susanna Reid then asked him: “And how many of your properties would you have visited in that time?”

Looking forlorn, Piers went on, saying: “What I’ve discovered is a new fresh hell where you see other people using your swimming pools.”

While sad music started to play in the background, Susanna pretended to sympathise with him, saying; “Oh dear. How many swimming pool have you got?”

Piers then replied: “I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m just saying it’s a new form of fresh hell… no sympathy required, it’s just annoying.

“After a while it really gets annoying. Seeing nieces and nephews jumping into the pool, running around your garden. Seeing your friends in LA ‘Oh this is lovely'”.

Piers is now clearly enjoying his time back in LA – with UK citizens unable to visit the United States as tourists until November 8th, but exceptions are made currently for those who are: “permanent residents of the USA, certain specified close family members and certain other limited categories of visas holders.”

However, Piers has endured something of a rocky reception since arriving back at his LA home last week.

On Sunday afternoon, the Californian city was rocked by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake.

Felling the natural disturbance, Piers shared a photo of the city with the epicentre and shockwaves illustrated.

He wrote: “BREAKING: The earth just (fairly gently) moved for me.”

Fans seemed to mock him, however, as many replied to his update, writing: “Did you drop your wallet Piers?”
