Paris Fury joined the Loose Women panel to discuss the terrifying ordeal that happened after the birth of her sixth child, baby Athena
Tyson Fury’ s wife Paris has opened up about how she feared her baby daughter would die when she suddenly stopped breathing.
Paris, who welcomed baby daughter Athena back in August, feared that her sixth child was dying in hospital just days after she gave birth.
Shortly after her birth, Athena was rushed to intensive care and was ‘dead for three minutes’ before medical professionals saved her life.
Opening up about the horrifying ordeal on Tuesday’s instalment of Loose Women, Paris, 33, described the traumatic time as the worst moments of her life.
The proud mum-of-six recalled feeling terrified as her baby daughter suddenly stopped breathing as she held her in her arms as the family rushed the newborn tot to help.
“She stopped breathing, she became non-responsive,” Paris recalled. “I screamed for the nurses because she wasn’t connected to none of the machines any more.”
Paris went on to explain that the nurses immediately whipped Athena from her mum’s arms and started trying to resuscitate her on the spot.
Meanwhile, Paris was on her own as her husband Tyson took a break from hospital duty to take a quick run around the hospital grounds.
When he arrived back on site, Paris screamed that she thought their newborn baby was dying.
“He came running in, I just broke down and screamed. I said, “She’s dying! She’s dying!”, and it looked that way,” she told the Loose Women panel.
Thankfully, the medical professionals were able to save Athena’s life and the gorgeous tot is in full health now, but Paris is still scarred by the terrifying ordeal.
“They ventilated her again and obviously she had to get better, she just had to get better on her own, which when they took her off the machine and everything’s come round, she has.
“Her heart rate is normal again now, her health is all back to normal, everything’s perfect. But it was such a scary two weeks and you don’t expect it with your sixth child.”
During the traumatic time after their daughter’s birth, Tyson pleaded with his millions of fans to pray for his newborn baby girl.
The boxing legend took to Instagram to beg his followers to keep his little one in their prayers as she fought for her life in intensive care.
Athena is now the doted-on youngest child in Paris and Tyson’s clan, and she’s loved by her five other siblings, Prince Tyson Fury, Prince John James, Prince Adonis Amaziah, Venezuela and Valencia.
