Liverpool fan gets Mo Salah award surprise

Liverpool are already plotting their approach to the upcoming January transfer window as Jurgen Klopp aims to guide the club to a second Premier League title in three years.

The Reds saw their 25-match unbeaten run come to a dramatic end on Sunday evening as they were beaten 3-2 by an in-form West HamUnited that now sit above them in the table.

Klopp’s men occupy fourth spot while the Hammers can barely believe their fortunes in third.

Liverpool are currently four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea and have suffered with a number of injuries already so far this season.

Despite enduring a similar injury crisis last term, Liverpool opted against spending big in the summer – instead making just one addition in the form of RB Leipzig’s Ibrahima Konate.

However, Klopp may get the urge to strengthen his side at the turn of the year to ensure a title tilt remains on the cards.

Alexander Isak is a reported target for both Liverpool and Arsenal

Here, Mirror Sport brings you the latest transfer gossip from Anfield.

Liverpool set to battle Arsenal for striker

The Reds have a wealth of attacking options currently at their disposal – but given the respective ages of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, it may be worth looking to the future.

Diogo Jota was signed for similar reasons last year, this summer could see the arrival of Real Sociedad star Alexander Isak.

A report from El Nacional claims that the Reds are readying a £34m bid for the Sweden international – despite his staggering £90m release clause.

The La Liga outfit are thought to be aware it is unlikely they will receive such a figure hence Liverpool’s attempt to test their resolve with a lower bid for the 22-year-old also wanted by Arsenal.

Italian outlet Calciomercato have claimed Liverpool are eyeing two mega-money moves for Serie A stars Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa.

Vlahovic, however, has already declined a contract extension as revealed by his club and in turn has sparked huge speculation across the continent over what his next move will be.

Similarly to Isak, Vlahovic is wanted by both Arsenal and Liverpool – but has reportedly already turned the Gunners down as he is waiting for a “bigger” club – leading to optimism over a deal from Liverpool’s end.

Klopp is reportedly keen on adding to his Brazilian contingent as Liverpool have been touted with a move for Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has impressed since upping sticks from South America to Serie A three years ago – so much so his performances have caught the eye of the Reds hierarchy.

Tipped for a call-up to his national side soon, Bremer could arrive at Anfield for a cut-price fee of just £6.8m in January – a bargain for a player regarded as one of the best central defenders in his division.

Should Liverpool get a deal for Bremer over the line, they will have to fend off interest from fierce rivals Manchester United, according to Torino Granata.

There is a chance Tottenham Hotspur enter the race for his signature given Antonio Conte’s admiration for the defender from his days leading Inter Milan in Serie A.
