Kanye West has insisted God will bring him and estranged wife Kim Kardashian back together over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The rapper, 44, discussed a possible reconciliation with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star while visiting a homeless shelter in Los Angeles, and told those gathered there on Wednesday that it was an important time to get back together with loved ones.

“Now it’s time to restore the families this Thanksgiving. It’s all about restoring the family. This morning I felt so blessed to wake up, to workout and be able to drive to my house and see my wife and my kids,” Kanye stated.

“That’s right. I said my wife and my children, and I want everyone to pray for my family,” he pleaded.

He went on to tell the crowd that people can change, and seemingly apologised for the humiliating claims he made against his wife last year.

“The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed in all these relationships. We made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes,” he said.

The Stronger hitmaker confessed: “I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband. But I’m here to change that narrative.”

Kanye said he fears for the stability of society after he and Kim split, because he thinks millions of families will follow in their footsteps and divorce.

“I am saying this because if the enemy can separate Kimye, there is going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is OK,” he told those in attendance.

“When God, who has already wanted his soul, brings Kimye together, there’s gonna be millions of families that are going to be influenced and see that they can overcome, could work as a separation of trauma,” he added.

Kanye made the public declaration of love towards his estranged wife Kim just days after she went public with her new boyfriend, Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson.

Despite the SKIMS founder’s new relationship with the actor, rapper Kanye is determined to win back his wife’s affection, almost a year after she filed for divorce, and is even living next door to Kim and their kids in an effort to “be right next to the situation”.

“I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation,” he explained.

“I’m trying to express this in the most sane way, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back home,” Kanye insisted.

He also took aim at the TV networks involved in the Kardashian/Jenner reality shows – which he appeared in – as he claimed they were “writing the narrative” of his family.

“I’m not letting E! write the narrative of my family. I’m not letting Hulu write the narrative of my family … I am the priest of my home,” he exclaimed.
