Giovanni Pernice’s ‘chemistry’ with Rose Ayling-Ellis to seal win? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Strictly Come Dancing is returning to BBC One this weekend and fans will be keen to see if EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis can maintain a perfect score. She made history on the programme with partner Giovanni Pernice during Halloween week, scoring the earliest 40 in the whole series. Body language expert Andre Radmall spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about a potential romance between the pair.

EastEnders actress Rose and professional dancer Giovanni have remained the bookies’ favourites to lift the Glitterball trophy for many weeks.

Rose has witnessed a number of firsts for the competition as she was the first-ever deaf contestant to take part.

Giovanni was left in tears at the weekend as the pair became the first to score full points at that stage of the competition.

She is still odds-on to win Strictly 2021 and she puts her success down to her perfect partnership with her coach.

Andre Radmall, a body language expert, said Giovanni shows a sense of care in how he relates to his celebrity partner.

Whilst this news prompted rumours of the Strictly curse, viewers should know Rose is in a long-term relationship.

She has been with her boyfriend, Samuel Arnold, for seven years and shares photos of the pair on Instagram.

According to the Liverpool Echo, her boyfriend is also deaf and the pair have experienced plenty of adventures together.

Andre shared his take on the other Strictly contestants and their chemistry.

Speaking of Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova, he said: “There is no evidence of romantic chemistry here. In fact, the energy between them is quite low key. Dan made a point of emphasising his love for his wife and kids on the most recent show. Nadiya seems very much in the role of teacher and I wondered how frustrated she might get at times with Dan.”

Sharing his thoughts on Adam Peaty and Katya Jones, who have been in the spotlight amid ‘Strictly curse’ claims, he said: “She seems more physically connected than him.

“She seems very positive and high energy. I got the feeling she was genuinely pleased with Adam and would be very encouraging.

“She really affirmed his professional dedication. She also loved positive comments on technique. I think they have the chemistry of friends who really respect each other but not sure this extends to the romantic.

“Having said this there was no lack of sensuality in their Samba.”

The expert called Aljaž Škorjanec one of the most “affirming and positive” professional dancers.

Referencing the youngest couple, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, he said: “Tilly had had a tough week in the press but she seemed confident on stage.

“I get the feeling that Nikita is very much in the role of the professional dance tutor and that their relationship is warm but professional.

“Like some of the other pro dancers, he looks at the audience when they go up the stairs. She tends to lean into him and look at him quite a bit but I think this is for reassurance.”

The couple to watch when it comes to a Strictly romance is AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, who have been at the centre of relationship claims.

Andre said: “On the dance floor AJ really brings passion and sensuality. She also had the dance to express this side of herself. She seems very competitive and high energy.

“This passion is not necessarily directed at her partner but at the whole process. Kai seems a little more in teacher mode and is less tactile than AJ. However, one way or another, there is more sexual energy in this couple than most of the others.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 6.45pm.
