Strictly: Giovanni admits to getting steps wrong after dancing

Strictly fans let out their rage on Twitter this evening as they accused judges of “fixing” the result to keep certain contestants in, while under marking others.

This evening saw an almost reverse of the leaderboard as frontrunners John and Johannes received four eights, a total of 32, to their Viennese Waltz to Chim Chim Cher-ee from Mary Poppins, while Tilly and Nikita scored a perfect 40.

Joining John and Johannes the bottom were Rhys and Nancy, who scored the same, while Tom and Amy and Dan and Nadiya both sat right at the bottom with 31.

In contrast, Tilly and Nikita came back from last week’s dance-off with a perfect 40 scoring couple’s choice routine.

Rose and Giovanni also sat near the top, achieving 37 after Motsi suggested that they had made a mistake – though Giovanni clarified that it had been his error.

AJ and Kai’s routine received no criticisms, but again fans noticed that they failed to get a perfect score.

And fuming fans took to social media to criticise the judges’ scores this evening, with one insisting: “The judges are definitely trying to keep Tilly out of the dance off with them scores it’s actually laughable!!!! The best dance of the night has been Aj and Kai and that’s on fact #Strictly.”

Fans fumed that AJ once again failed to get a perfect score

While another raged: “Whattt? Super overrated comments/scoring from judges I think on Tilly’s dance?? feel like I watched something else #strictly.”

A third wrote: “Tilly’s dance was good but wasn’t worth 4 10’s at all. AJ and Kai were 10 x better then Tilly and Nikita tonight just saying.”

“A 40 FOR THAT BUT NOT KAI AND AJ? LET ME SEE THOSE JUDGES AGAIN #Strictly,” another seethed.

One fumed: “If this routine is an all 10s, i have to say AJ and Kai were robbed.”

Another wrote: “The fact that Rhys AND Tilly have had a score of 40 whilst AJ is still only being scored 37/38/39 when she is a much better dancer than both of them is beyond me, the bias jumping out yet again x #Strictly.”

While others raged about Tom’s negative scoring, with one tweeting: “Don’t think I’ve voted yet this year but I just made sure I’m logged in to vote for Tom, because I’ve not a clue what the judges are on about! #Strictly.”

Another agreed, commenting: “i am so gutted for tom and amy, it’s a dancing show so the fact they got lower scores bc tom “didn’t cry” is ridiculous. you could clearly see how emotional he was and how much that dance meant to him. i’m proud of them and think they deserved more.”

One fumed: “Shirley giving Dan a 9 and John and Johannes an 8, leaving them just one point different on the leaderboard, is ridiculous I’m sorry. Idk what John and JoJo have to do to get 40, I really don’t #strictly.”

*Strictly returns tomorrow on BBC One
