Harry Potter actress Emma Watson caused quite a stir at the inaugural Earthshot Prize awards in which she wore a shredded white gown, which was made up of 10 dresses from Oxfam, over a pair of flared trousers
Emma Watson lead the glamour charge at tonight’s Earthshot Prize awards in a very quirky dress and trouser combo.
The Harry Potter actress stunned on the green carpet at London’s Alexandra Palace wearing a white gown, which was made up of 10 dresses from Oxfam, over a pair of black flared trousers.
The awards were launched by Prince William to find solutions to the planet’s environmental problems and were held at London’s Alexandra Palace.
No stars flew to London for the event and guests were asked by organisers to “consider the environment when choosing their outfit”.
Emma teamed her striking outfit with a pair of black chunky boots and made quite the entrance at the awards, which were attended by a host of environment-conscious celebs.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in style in an electric Audi car and were both wearing recycled clothes.
Kate arrived wearing a lilac Alexander McQueen dress made for her in 2011, which she previously wore to a BAFTA dinner in Los Angeles.
William wore a dark green velvet blazer he’d previously worn at an anniversary gala for charity Centrepoint in 2019 with a polo neck top and a pair of 20-year-old trousers.
During the ceremony, in a short film recorded in the London Eye, William said: “We are alive in the most consequential time in human history.
“The actions we choose or choose not to take in the next 10 years will determine the fate of the planet for the next thousand.”
Someone impressed with the father-of-three’s speech was Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, who was co-presenting the awards.
The host looked stunning wearing a cream trouser suit with colourful patches and black sandals.
Former X Factor host and his wife Dee Koppang also made an appearance at the event with Dermot looking dapper in a tux. Dee looked stunning sporting a velvet blazer, white blouse and cigarette pants.
Acting royalty Emma Thompson wore a striking blue suit, which she teamed with white trainers.
The actress no doubt found time to find out the Strictly Come Dancing result as her husband Greg Wise left the show tonight.
Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and KSI performed during the ceremony while actors Emma Watson, Emma Thompson and David Oyelowo, and Liverpool FC striker Mo Salah handed out the awards.
