Friends star Courteney Cox channelled her inner Monica and shared the cleaning advice with her followers on social media
Courteney Cox has shown fans that she “is literally just Monica” from Friends after she shared a cleaning hack.
The 57-year-old is known for playing ‘the cleanest friend of all,’ Monica Geller, on the hit NBC sitcom and the actor has now shown off her own cleaning abilities on her Instagram.
Earlier this morning, Courteney said that she had found a “cleaning hack that actually works,” and shared the advice with her 11 million followers on the social media platform.
She posted a tutorial of herself trying out the method and accompanied it with the iconic TLC track No Scrubs.
In the clip, she channels her Friends character and cleans a dirty blender in a kitchen. She showcases the method for doing so, which appears to make the blender “not just clean, Monica clean,” in the words of her sitcom character.
First she rinses out the blender, before adding ‘dish soap’ and water. After putting the lid back on, she blends it and pours out the liquid once done. A final rinse concludes the cleaning.
The post impressed many of her followers, with one commenting: “Wow ok … why have I never done that?”
Another responded to the recent social media post: “You saved my life, why didn’t I think about it before? Genius!”

“Okay this is revolutionary,” another fan commented, whilst a third wrote: “This is so clever. I love it!”
One fan said that Courteney was “always teaching us,” whilst another said: “This is a game changer.”
And several followers supported the cleaning advice, assuring that it does actually work. “Hands down the best way to clean a blender,” wrote one person, whilst another said: “It does work. I do it all the time.”
“Works great but you better make sure you rinse it out or your next meal will taste like soap,” warned one follower, whilst another commented: “I’ve done this for years!”
Others joked that it was something her Friends character would do, with one follower saying: “Monica? Is that you?”
“Courtney is literally just Monica,” said another fan, whilst one added that “Monica would be proud.”
And there were a handful of followers who were surprised by the amazement. One person said that “this came in the instructions,” with another adding: “I guess people don’t read manuals.” Another said: “It’s just confirming how to wash your blender. Good reminder at least.”
